Welcome
Inspired, created and run by students
Welcome to the blogsite of the economics and business department of the King’s School, Chester.
The site is inspired by students, created by students and run by students (yep, no teachers – well SDW is in the background somewhere) … so if there is something you would like to see, or you want to get involved contact any of the blog team below.
We hope you make use of the regularly updated blogs – please comment on the news we bring you or the views and thoughts we express. We hope to ‘get into’ your classroom too (if we’re not there already!), so let us know if you have anything you would like to share via this site.
Meet the blog team
Matt the Man is Business Studies Subject Prefect and half of the brains behind this blogsite.
Discovering and analysing the latest on what’s going on in the business world. Read his blog entries if you’re interested in the underlying causes that determine the success of a business. Ranging from record profits to falling sales, Matt’s blog posts have it all.
Stephen Lear is the other half of the brains behind the blogsite and is the Economics Subject Prefect.
When he’s not captaining the Target 2.0 team, Stephen is keeping King’s up to date with the latest economic events.
Rookie Simon Edholm looks set to to dip his toes into both economics and business blogging after his consideration of the controversy over Walmart’s move into South Africa.
Some say quiet as a mouse, others say sharp as a razor. Whatever they say, be sure to follow Josh’s blogs on the economy, which will take a rational and in-depth look at economic developments and their implications across the world.
